Danny Bottoms
CEO, GTS Central Europe
Danny Bottoms was appointed CEO for GTS Central Europe in January 2011. Prior to joining GTS, he was President & CEO of Cavalier Telephone Corporation, where he led the company for over two years prior to its acquisition by PAETEC in 2010. Before Cavalier, Danny was COO of Showtime Arabia, a pay TV company serving the MENA region from Dubai. He was President & CEO of OnFiber Communications for over 5 years before the company was acquired by Qwest Communications. With 20 years in the telecommunications and media industries, Danny has also worked in management positions with MasTec, Qwest, and MCI. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Iowa in the USA.
Gerald Grace
CFO, GTS Central Europe
Gerald Grace has been leading GTS CE Finance since June 2001. Previously he worked as a Financial Analyst with GTS Ebone in London, as an Internal Auditor with Cable and Wireless International and as an Auditor with KPMG Dublin. He holds a Degree in Business Studies from the University of Limerick and a Masters in Finance and Accounting from University College Dublin. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ireland.
Ignacio Irurita
CTO, GTS Central Europe
Jose Ignacio Irurita Martin was appointed Chief Technology Officer at GTS CE in September 2008. He has a longstanding career in the telecommunication industry. Prior to joining GTS CE, he worked for Ono Cableuropa in Madrid where he was heading the Enterprise Business Unit. He worked previously for COLT Telecom Group in the position of Group Senior Director of Operations and Engineering, Chief Operations Officer for Southern Europe (France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Switzerland) and before he was Technical Director of the Spanish Broadcasting and Media Company Antena 3 Television. Ignacio Irurita graduated in Telecommunications Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and gained the MBA Degree at IESE, Universidad de Navarra and is SEP graduated by the London Business School.
Rafal Ciecwierz
Chief Legal Counsel, GTS Central Europe
In the period 1997-2001 he collaborated, as a solicitor, with the Warsaw branch of Clifford Chance, an international law office. Since 2001 he has been working for Energis Polska sp. z o.o. as the Director of the Legal Department and a board member at a later stage. During the period of 2006-2007 he was also the legal counsel and investment director at the Gravitas Management sp. z o.o. investment fund, and a board member at Stolarka Wolomin S.A. In addition to this, he was a consultant for Mediatel S.A. in the process of acquiring telecommunication businesses. He started his career as a lawyer in the Kubiak Lukowicz Zielinski Solicitors law office in Warsaw. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at Warsaw University. He became a qualified solicitor in 1997.
Bruce Garrison
Vice President and Head of International Services, GTS Central Europe
Bruce Garrison was appointed Vice President & Head of International Services for GTS Central Europe in November 2011. Bruce brings over 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry to GTS. Prior to joining GTS, he was Director of Sales at EarthLink Business responsible for the Gulf Coast region of the US. Before EarthLink Business, Bruce was VP of Commercial Sales Midwest at Cavalier Telephone Corporation. Bruce spent over 8 years at Cavalier Telephone in various leadership roles including Area Sales Manager, Director of Sales, then Vice President of Commercial Sales Midwest until its acquisition by PAETEC in 2010. Bruce holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Marketing from McNeese State University in the US.
Petr Draxler
Head of Group Human Resources, GTS Central Europe
Petr Draxler was appointed Head of Group Human Resources at GTS in October 2010. Petr brings over 16 years of human resources experience to GTS, having served in a number of local and regional HR leadership roles within multinational corporations like DHL, Motorola and IBM. Prior to joining GTS Group he was in charge of the HR consulting arm of PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Czech Republic. Throughout his HR career he has specialized primarily in recruitment, talent management and Merger and Acquisitions. Furthermore, during his employment with Motorola and IBM, Petr spent several years managing the regional HR function within countries like Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Baltics. Petr Draxler received master degree in Electrical Power Engineering from Czech Technical University in Prague.
Artur Ostrowski
Senior VP of Customer Solutions, GTS Central Europe
Artur Ostrowski joined the GTS Group from TeliaSonera International Carrier, where he had been working since 2000 on a number of sales positions in various European countries. In 2007 he moved back to Poland to take over responsibility for international carrier operations of TeliaSonera in the region of CEE and Asia. He holds a master’s degree in Management from Warsaw University, and later obtained an MBA from Warsaw University of Technology.
David Šita
Managing Director for GTS in Czech
David Šita completed the master’s degree program at the University of Economics. He also earned an MBA at the US Business School in Prague (College of Rochester Institute of Technology). He has many years of experience in the telecommunication sector and the Czech public sector and top corporate segment. Before joining GTS Czech, he held the position of vice president of the customer strategy division at Telefónica O2. He was named CEO of GTS Czech on March 1, 2011.
Piotr Sieluk
Managing Director for GTS Poland
Piotr Sieluk was appointed CEO of GTS Energis (as of 1st. October 2010 GTS Poland) in January 2009. Previously, between 2003 and 2005, he held the position of Business Development Director at Energis Polska responsible, among others things, for the successful sale of this company to the GTS Group. He started his career at Deloitte & Touche, followed by a number of management positions in Pioneer Mutual Fund, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Gravitas Private Equity Fund where he was co-founder and Investment Director. He graduated from the Law Faculty at the University of Warsaw, and holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota.
Stanislav Molcan
Chairman of the board, GTS Slovakia
Stanislav Molcan was appointed as Chairman of the Management Board in December 2006, after leading the company's sales and marketing department for four years. He gained management experience in sales and marketing areas at ViaPVT and EuroTel Bratislava before joining GTS in 2002. Prior to this, he worked at Global Network Services (predecessor of EuroWeb Slovakia) as sales and marketing director from 1996 to 2000. He graduated from the Faculty of Electrotechnics and Informatics at the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava in 1996.
Peter Apjok
CFO and acting Managing Director for GTS in Hungary
Peter has the expertise gained from 15 years experience working with US-based multinational companies holding various positions in finance and management. Before joining GTS, he held leading financial positions in the IT industry, most recently, Regional Strategic Finance Manager for Central Europe at the Oracle Hardware Business Unit. He previously worked for Sun Microsystems and began his career at PepsiCo International. Peter holds a BA in Economics from Budapest College for Management and Business Studies and an MBA from Oxford Brookes University. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Michael Rees
Managing Director for GTS in Romania
Michael Rees joined GTS Central Europe in August 2010. Michael brings over 13 years of telecommunications industry experience to GTS, having served in a number of senior executive positions within Cavalier Telephone and OnFiber Communications (acquired by Qwest Communications). Prior to joining the founding team at OnFiber, he assisted in the nationwide DSL roll-out at Covad Communications. Furthermore, he provide due diligence and strategic consulting to private equity firms and telecoms operators throughout Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East for over two years with Hardiman Telecommunications. Michael holds a BA in Economics and Mathematics from Boston University and an MBA from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.
