  • Naked ADSL is a more and more popular alternative in Hungary

    GTS Datanet, Hungarian subsidiary of GTS CE announced plans to launch local loop unbundling based ADSL and phone service in Debrecen, Kecskemét, Sopron, Székesfehérvár, Szolnok, Tatabánya and Zalaegerszeg in January 2007. As a result of the expanding service coverage naked ADSL will be available for a further 200,000 rural households as well. For its naked ADSL subscribers, GTS Datanet also offers traditional fixed line phone service additionally - only for minute fees.

    GTS Nextra, Slovakian subsidiary of GTS CE, the largest Slovak alternative telecommunications operator, has extended its offer of services for business clients with three new products to improve the quality of internal company communication, as well as company communication with customers.

  • GTS Energis signed an agreement with Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa for wholesale purchase of mobile access to network

    Warsaw, November 16, 2006
    On the basis of the agreement signed with Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa (PTC), the largest Polish mobile service provider, GTS Energis, as the first alternative telecommunication operator in Poland, offers to its customers the service of mobile access to the virtual private networks (VPN) with the use of GPRS, EDGE, UMTS and HSDPA technologies.

  • A Special Offer to the new Novera Komplet Office service

    Prague, October 18, 2006
    This week GTS Novera, a nationwide telecommunication operator, launched a sale of its preferred offer of the new Novera Komplet Office service that has already been available in Prague and all big cities. Within this action all long-distance (intercity) calls made by the customers till the end of March next year are free of charge.

  • GTS Datanet launched LLU based services

    GTS Datanet, Hungarian subsidiary of GTS Central Europe, announced to launch local loop unbundling based ADSL and phone services for residential and business customers in Budapest. The new LLU based service allows costumers to get rid of fixed line subscription fees while keep using their telephone with their old phone number.

  • GTS Datanet buys Network Planning & Inventory systems solution

    Budapest, September 15, 2006
    GTS Datanet Távközlési Kft. and FlexiTon Kft signed an agreement about the delivery of a network planning & inventory systems solution. The solution will be based upon the ARIADNE system of FlexiTon Hungary, which will support the efficient operation and rapid growth of the network and customer base. The functionality covers the physical inventory of the network and equipment together with geographic views of the network, the functional and logical ('virtual') network description and the relation to the services delivered to the customers. The ARIADNE system works upon Oracle and Bentley platforms.

  • EUR 1 million network upgrading at GTS Datanet

    Budapest, August 8, 2006
    GTS Datanet, Hungarian subsidiary of GTS Central Europe announced to upgrade its IP backbone network significantly. In the course of the pre-announced network maintenance works on 5th and 6th of August, the previous 3 Gigabit/s national BIX connection was tripled to 10 Gigabit/s and an other 10 Gigabit/s reserve connection was built up, as well. Besides the national network, GTS Datanet upgraded its international connections to 5 Gigabit/s.

  • GTS Central Europe appoints Stuart Evers as Chief Sales Officer

    GTS Central Europe today announced the appointment of Stuart Evers as Chief Sales Officer, reporting directly to Tamás Polgár, CEO of GTS Central Europe. Evers brings over ten years of industry experience to GTS CE as he has worked across the European market for companies like Czech Telecom. Stuart will assume responsibility for the development of the company's retail sales activity.

  • GTS Energis quarterly sales exceeded PLN 100 million (EUR 25.8 million)

    Warsaw, May 16, 2006
    In Q1 2006 GTS Energis, an alternative Polish telecommunication operator rendering services to corporate customers reported the consolidated revenues of PLN 100.1 million, which is EUR 25.8 million. This is PLN 2 million (2%) more than in the previous quarter. The number of customers increased up to approx. 7400 in the same period.

  • The Birth of GTS Nextra - The Largest Alternative Telecom Operator in Slovakia

    Bratislava, April 7, 2006
    GTS Central European Holding B.V. group, of which the Slovak alternative telecom operator GTS Slovakia is also a member, in January this year gained a 100% stake in the companies Nextra, s.r.o. and Telenor Networks, a.s. The acquisition came after GTS' recent purchases of Aliatel Slovakia, s.r.o. and Quadia DCT, a.s. The five companies were united under the firm GTS Nextra, a.s., which thus became the largest alternative telecom operator in Slovakia.

  • 2005 Consolidated Financial Results of GTS Energis Group

    Warsaw, February 7, 2006
    In Q4 2005, GTS Energis, an alternative telecommunication operator rendering services to corporate clients, reported the consolidated revenues of PLN 98.2 million; i.e. PLN 3.4 million (3.5%) above the consolidated sales of the previous quarter. The 2005 consolidated revenues of the GTS Energis Group were valued at PLN 367 million. The 2005 internal revenues of the Group, which were eliminated as a result of merger, amounted to PLN 30.4 million.

  • GTS Central Europe founded its Croatian subsidiary, GTS Telekomunikacije

    GTS Central European Holding B.V. founded its Croatian subsidiary called GTS Telekomunikacije d.o.o. The new company offers retail and wholesale voice, data services and IP services for corporate customers: international leased lines, MPLS and voice termination. The General Manager of GTS Telekomunikacije d.o.o. is Géza Szathmári, who holds the position of the General Manager of GTS-Datanet, Hungarian subsidiary of GTS CE as well.

  • GTS continues march forward

    GTS Central Europe has made another move to further establish itself as a major player in Eastern Europe in a deal that sees continuing consolidation in the Czech telecoms market. Capping an aggressive year of acquisitions, GTS CE is buying 100% of the shares of TDC's Czech subsidiary Contactel.
