GTS Central Europe appoints David Šita as the Chief Executive Officer of GTS’ Czech subsidiary

GTS Central Europe (“GTS”), a leading infrastructure based telecommunications operator in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), is pleased to announce the appointment of David Šita (40) as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GTS Czech s.r.o., effective March 1, 2011. Miloš Mastník, current Vice President and Head of GTS CE Marketing is appointed acting CEO, until the commencement of Mr. Šita’s appointment.
In this position, David Šita will succeed Stuart Evers who will pursue new opportunities outside GTS. Adam Sawicki, Group CEO at GTS, said "On behalf of entire Board, I would like to thank Stuart Evers for his service as the CEO of GTS Czech, and the contributions he has made to GTS over the years. He together with our team in the Czech Republic helped GTS to strengthen its position within the local telecom market. David Šita will be responsible for leading GTS in the Czech Republic which represents a considerable part of the entire GTS Group business within Central and Eastern Europe.
Effective immediately and until the appointment of David Šita, Miloš Mastník, VP & Group Head of Marketing, will be acting CEO of GTS Czech s.r.o.

David Šita is a seasoned executive with balanced general management profile and distinctive commercial background supported by deep knowledge and experience of the Czech public sector and top corporate segment. In his nearly 20 year career, he developed both sales management and leadership experience culminating in his most recent role as a member of the executive team at Telefónica O2, with full P&L responsibility.
David Šita studied the Czech Technical University in Prague, followed with Master’s degree from University of Economics, MBA from the US Business school in Prague and College of Business at Rochester Institute of Technology.
