Warsaw, March 13, 2007
GTS Energis' Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA) increased to PLN 71 million in 2006.
In comparison with the past year, GTS Energis, the alternative telecom operator which provides services for business clients, generated a 34 per cent growth of the EBITDA index in 2006, while its 2005 result amounted to PLN 53 million.
The operator’s consolidated income in 2006 amounted to PLN 385 million. In comparison with the past year's results, it means an increase by PLN 18 million, i.e. 5 per cent.
"In 2006, we generated the best result in the history of our company. It was possible owing to consistent carrying out of sales plans as well as completion of cost synergies created following the operational merger of companies", said Jaromir Lacinski, chairman of GTS Energis' management board.
The company states that despite the more difficult situation on the telecom market, in 2007 it will generate results similar to those of the past year. Achievement of the plan is to be helped by the company's entering the individual clients' market with the services of cheap broadband internet access by the name of Multimo (www.multimo.pl) as well as cheap telephone subscription fees and cheap 1066 phone calls (www.1066.pl).
