GTS Energis has launched 10 Gbit link to Berlin
Warsaw, December 15, 2005
GTS Energis, one of the largest alternative telecom operators for business customers in Poland, has launched a new 10 Gbps bandwidth data transmission link between Warsaw and Berlin. The new high bandwidth link is a result of business synergy and the consolidation process of two of the major alternative telecom providers - GTS Polska and Energis Polska.
The new link, built using DWDM technology will provide data transmission at the highest level possible and is capable of operating the largest available capacities required by carriers. This will provide ultra reliable, high speed capacity aimed specifically at the carrier market. This enables GTS Energis to expand cooperation with other carriers, both Polish and international.
Apart of the above, IP traffic between GTS Energis network and the global Internet has been upgraded to 4 Gbps information exchange. This puts the operator in the leading position amongst alternative providers in the Polish market.
