GTS to acquire Quadia

GTS Central Europe Holdings BV (GTS CE), of which the national operator GTS Slovakia is a subsidiary, has entered into an agreement to acquire Quadia DCT. The transaction closed on 14 Dec 2005.

Quadia is a facilities based telecommunication service provider with an extensive fibre optic network in the main business districts of Bratislava. Providing voice internet and data services, Quadia is focused on both local and international mid-sized and large business customers. Bratislava, capital of Slovakia represents one third of the Slovak economy.

GTS CE operates a group of alternative telecom service providers in Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia. Focus is primarily on the business customer segment. In addition GTS CE provides service to customers in Ukraine, Latvia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Croatia and Serbia.

Operating in the Slovak market since 1999 GTS Slovakia provides the full range of customized services including internet, voice and data. GTS Slovakia expects revenues in excess of EUR 8 million in 2005. With its reputation of high quality, knowledge and flexible approach, GTS Slovakia has established itself as the provider of choice for major corporate clients as well as a reliable partner of international telecommunications operators.
