GTS to Acquire Telenor Networks and Nextra in the Czech and Slovak Republics

GTS Central Europe Holdings BV (GTS CE) has entered into an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Telenor Networks and Nextra in the Czech and Slovak Republics. The agreement is subject to Czech Anti-Monoply approval. Telenor/Nextra are wholly owned subsidiaries of Telenor Group the largest provider of telecommunications services in Norway.

GTS Novera and GTS Slovakia are leading alternative providers of telecommunications solutions for business in the Czech and Slovak Republics. GTS Novera and GTS Slovakia are wholly owned subsidiaries of GTS CE.

"Telenor/Nextra is an important acquisition for GTS CE bringing valuable infrastructure, a high quality customer base and experienced telecommunication professionals" commented Tamas Polgar CEO of GTS CE.

GTS CE expects approx Euro385m in consolidated Group revenues in 2006.

GTS CE operates telecom service providers in Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia. In addition, GTSCE provides service to customers in Ukraine, Latvia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Croatia and Serbia.
