MOM Park covered in a Wi-Fi cloud

The cooperation of Aion 2000 Ltd. and GTS-Datanet resulted in hot-spots providing large bandwidth in the MOM Park Shopping Center. The specialty of the service is that it is available not only in certain shops or restaurants, but at any place in the building, from the basement to the uppermost floor. The wireless Internet can be used with a Mozaik PLUSZ card, which is available at the information booths, restaurants, post offices in Budapest and the central customer service center of GTS-Datanet.
The system was built with a 30 million HUF investment and the actual deployment took two months. The bandwidth, the network nodes and authentication is provided by GTS-Datanet; the cabling, the deployment of the hot-spots and the operation of the system is the task of Aion 2000 Ltd. If demand is growing, the two companies plan to even double the bandwidth available in MOM Park in the near future and make the system capable of providing VoIP telephone services. Foreign experience shows that Wi-Fi hot-spots can significantly add to the popularity to a shopping center.
Besides MOM Park, Aion 2000 Ltd. and GTS-Datanet plans to build similar hot-spots in further ten, and next year in further nine shopping centers all around Hungary. The total value of the investment will amount to several hundred million HUF.
