Mr. Ignacio Irurita is appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at GTS CE

Mr. Ignacio Irurita has been appointed Chief Technology Officer for GTS Central European Holding B.V. (GTS CE),
a leading Central European telecommunications operator. In his new position, Mr. Ignacio Irurita will be responsible for
managing GTS CE's regional network, unifying domestic networks and creating common operational platform for the subsidiaries
of the Group. He will be based in Prague, Czech Republic.
"The set-up of a central technical position for GTS CE is part of our strategy to consolidate and unify operations of the group," explained Mr. Adam Sawicki, CEO of GTS CE, and added: "I am very happy that Ignacio has joined our company. With his excellent IT and network knowledge, strong managerial skills and extensive experience, he will provide leadership and direction, optimizing both the backbone and access networks. All these activities should enable us to achieve the ultimate goal to increase efficiency and maintain competitiveness of our business."
Ignacio Irurita has a longstanding career in the telecommunication industry in Europe. He worked as Technical Director in the leading independent Spanish broadcaster Antena 3 Television from 1993 to 1998. In 1998, he became Technical Director at the Spanish telecommunications operator Colt Telecom Spain in Madrid. Then he was appointed Chief Operations Officer for COLT Telecom in Southern Europe, and later, Senior Director at Colt Telecom Group in London, where he was responsible for the overall Group Network and Product Engineering, Network and Systems Operations. Prior to joining GTS CE, he worked for Spanish operator Ono Cableuropa in Madrid as Head of the Enterprise Business Unit.
Ignacio Irurita graduated in Telecommunications Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He obtained his MBA Degree at IESE, Universidad de Navarra. He completed his studies at the Senior Executive Program at London Business School in London.
Ignacio Irurita was born in Madrid (Spain) in 1965. He is married and has two children. He enjoys long-distance running, skiing and water sports. He also loves reading and traveling.
GTS CE was acquired in the beginning of 2008 by consortium of private equity funds, led by Columbia Capital, M/C Venture Partners and Innova Capital.
