Operating profit of GTS Energis grows

During the second quarter of 2006, GTS Energis, an alternative telecommunication operator rendering services to corporate customers, noted a 42% EBIDTA profit increase compared with the second quarter of previous year.

During the second quarter of 2005, the operating profit before depreciation (EBIDTA) of GTS Energis grew to PLN 19.3 million (EUR 5 million) compared with PLN 13.6 million (EUR 3,52 million) obtained in the same period of 2005. This means that the profit grew by 9% compared with the first quarter of this year. GTS Energis closed the first half of 2006 with the EBIDTA profit of PLN 37.1 million (EUR 9,6 million). This means the increase of 32% in relation to the previous half year and 50% compared with the same period of previous year.

Consolidated revenues obtained by the operator during the second quarter of 2006 amounted to PLN 98 million (EUR 25,3 million). This means the increase of almost 7% compared with last year's result for the second quarter. Sales of services of GTS Energis gave to the operator the revenues of PLN 198.1 million (EUR 51,2 million), i.e. 13.7% above the sales revenues of previous year.

At the end of the first half of 2006, the number of contracts signed by the GTS Energis Group amounted to 7900.

During the second quarter of 2006, GTS Energis introduced to its portfolio a new offer for dedicated hosting service. The offer is more flexible than the previous one due to three server classes with the selected components option. Additionally, the operator offers full service support, safe environment of its Data Center as well as monitoring and reporting server parameters.
