The Birth of GTS Nextra - The Largest Alternative Telecom Operator in Slovakia
Bratislava, April 7, 2006
GTS Central European Holding B.V. group, of which the Slovak alternative telecom operator GTS Slovakia is also a member, in January this year gained a 100% stake in the companies Nextra, s.r.o. and Telenor Networks, a.s. The acquisition came after GTS' recent purchases of Aliatel Slovakia, s.r.o. and Quadia DCT, a.s. The five companies were united under the firm GTS Nextra, a.s., which thus became the largest alternative telecom operator in Slovakia.
"Our strategy in building GTS Nextra, a.s. was based on thoughtful acquisitions of specialized companies that together form a complex offer of telecom services in the voice, data and Internet fields with the use of our own network infrastructure for clients in Slovakia as well as across Central and Eastern Europe. Our goal is to build a strong company and to offer our clients complex solutions with an optimal combination of price and valuable services" said Branislav Brezovič, general manager of GTS Nextra, a.s.
More advantageous prices, better services For existing and future clients, this fusion allows the firm to offer a new and broad range of high quality services that are better focused on the specific demands of customers, and that are provided under generally better conditions. By uniting its own infrastructure, experiences and experts, a company was created that is able to offer complex solutions for all market segments anywhere in Slovakia. This allows clients themselves to grow and to satisfy their new needs without having to buy telecom services from a number of operators: GTS Nextra can be their single, competent partner who recommends appropriate solutions. The company is preparing new services for end-users on the basis of 3.5 GHz FWA(fixed wireless access) technology, which allows it to offer full voice services and broadband Internet for very advantageous prices and at a guaranteed level of quality.
Services for the whole of Central Europe Given its network of branches across the whole of Central Europe, GTS Nextra is capable of serving multinational companies who need complex solutions in several countries within the region. Unlike other alternative operators who only rent their networks, GTS Nextra to a great extent owns the networks it uses, which has a positive impact on the quality and price of services.
