The GTS Ethernet Line service enables you to interconnect your Local Area Network (LAN) locations in a cost effective and flexible manner. Whether you require high speed, secured point-to-point or point-to-multipoint solution within the metropolitan, national or international scope, your business will find us in the right location.
GTS Ethernet Line service corresponds to the Metro Ethernet Forum definitions of E-Line service type. GTS Ethernet Line is based on a Point-to-Point Ethernet Virtual Connection (EVC) between two subscriber sites. In order to meet all your needs, GTS has defined these two service variants:
- Ethernet Private Line (EPL) - port based service. Consider EPL service variant if you require higher level transparency and dedicated solution, which allows you to control all your protocols
- Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) - port plus VLAN based service, which can be configured to support multiple EVCs on a single port. Consider EVPL, if you require solution for connecting many locations in a hub and a native-speaking LAN.
GTS Central Europe is a member of international organisation Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF), taking advantage of direct access to Technical Specifications and new standards defined by MEF.
GTS Central Europe has successfully certified GTS Ethernet Line service, proving that both, EPL and EVPL, services are compliant with MEF 9 and MEF 14 technical specifications.

GTS Affiliates offer GTS Ethernet Line service on its own fibre based backbone network across a five country footprint. GTS Ethernet Line service enables data communication between the Subscriber’s localities especially in the following GTS countries: the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia with international service handover possibilities in Germany, Frankfurt and Austria, Vienna.
