Our optical backbone network enables us to offer our customers unrivalled capacity and excellent geographical reach across the central European region. The service can be set up for permanent or occasional use.
Our media service is designed to transmit live, broadcast quality video between any number of points on our regional media network with the highest quality, full control and resilience.
Service capabilities
GTS Media Line is designed for all applications in which on-line transmission of media content of the highest quality is required. The service is ideal for a variety of situations such as:
- Distribution- tranmission of media content (TV programs, films, multimedia files…) with local, national and international reach.Example: distribution of TV programs from primary distribution to cable TV/ IPTV/satellite TV operators.
- Contribution - interconnection of production locations with studios, or interconnection of TV studios.Example: connection of TV studios with sports stadiums or cultural event venues (concert halls, theatres)
- Special events - multimedia interconnection of two or more places for a one-time, specific, event.Example: interconnection of hospitals for the transmission of surgical procedures.
Coverage
The GTS Media Line service is based on our wholly owned network, with 17,000 km of fiber spanning the CEE region. Our dense metro networks allow us to offer our media customers unrivalled access possibilities.
GTS offers this service on its own fiber based backbone network across a five country footprint: the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia. In other countries, the solution is provided in cooperation with service partners.
