Carrier MPLS is a service which interconnects a carrier's network with the GTS Regional MPLS network. GTS Regional provisions those sites that lie outside the carrier's own network reach on its network, and manages the traffic so that the GTS Regional network supports the same classes of service as the carrier offers to its customers.

Service provision

The Service consists of three parts as follows:

• The MPLS Interconnect
  Interconnect is the physical connection between the GTS IP-VPN Network and Customer IP-VPN Network consisting of a dedicated GTS PE-ASBR, a Customer PE- ASBR and the local loop. Technical design of the Interconnect shall be agreed between the parties. The Interconnect is personalised to accommodate the Customer’s IP-VPN configuration.
• The End User Site Access
  End User Site Access is the part of the Service which GTS provisions for the Customer to allow connectivity of the End User Site to the Service backbone. It includes the local loop, if provided by GTS and the GTS PE Router. GTS provided equipment, if applicable, shall be installed and working before the testing and commissioning phases of the provide can commence.
